Setting a limit is only one factor that will help reduce your risk of experiencing harms from gambling.

In addition to spending no more than 1% of your monthly income before taxes on gambling each month, playing no more than 4 days per month and avoiding regularly gambling at more than 2 types of games will help reduce your risks.

These limits may not be suitable for everyone though. If you have experienced problems from alcohol, cannabis or other drugs, anxiety or depression or have a personal or family history of problems with gambling, you may want to consider gambling less than these guidelines recommend or not at all.
